It is indeed great to hear from you. It gives a new life form to this whole movement to honor Kenneth. Have you ever spoken to Bruce Salisbury? If not, I know he would love to hear from you and talk with you. His contact information is on the latest post about Kenneth.

Please contact Bruce, because at this point we are hungry for all the information we can get. I have promised Bruce that once his research is done on Kenneth, I would be more than honored to publish the entire story here on American Valor.

I am Ken,s sister and I love this idea. My family kind of gave up ever seeing a memorial or tribute to Kenneth. The marine corps was suppose to name something for him but he has fell into a deep crack and they have forgotten him. I am so honored that so many people are taking such a part in this memorial.

America’s oldest living Medal of Honor recipient, living his 100th year is former enlisted Chief Petty Officer, Aviation Chief Ordnanceman (ACOM), later wartime commissioned Lieutenant John W. Finn, USN (Ret.). He is also the last surviving Medal of Honor, “The Day of Infamy”, Japanese Attack on the Hawaiian Islands, Naval Air Station, Kaneohe Bay, Oahu, Territory of Hawaii, 7 December 1941.

Veterans and troops that are still fighting today should be recognized for their courage and bravery everyday, not just one day out of the year but at least we have that I suppose. I ran across this post on PetermansEye.com and I think that anyone would enjoy. The respondents reach out their gratitude to those who have fought for our country. Hope you enjoy and appreciate it.
