The last time I looked, we voted politicians into office to carry out our wishes, not to tell us what they want us to do.
This cartoon dates back to 1948, the year I was born. Without calling names, there is a tremendous amount of truth here.

When are politicians going to understand that our men and women gave their lives fighting to protect our freedom. Do you honestly believe we are going to quietly lie down and let these people destroy everything they fought for? I think not!
I do not choose to live like a slave of the state. I do not choose to have someone in government tell me where I can work, what I can eat, where I can live, what I can think, who I can associate with. Give our country back to us or pay the price at election time!
